Project Overview
What is Instacart ?
Instacart is an American company that operates as a same-day grocery delivery and pick-up service in the U.S. and Canada. It allows customers to order groceries and household items from local stores through its website or mobile app. Instacart then sends a personal shopper to pick and pack the items for delivery or customer pickup.
Why I chose Instacart for my research?
I selected Instacart for several reasons:
Relevance
Online grocery shopping and delivery apps have become increasingly popular, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. I believe evaluating Instacart's usability will provide valuable insights into this growing market.

Personal Interest
I am a frequent user of Instacart, which gives me a good understanding of its user experience and potential usability issues.
Industry Potential
The online grocery industry is expanding rapidly, and this experience could be beneficial if I decide to work in the e-commerce or delivery service industry in the future.

Users

Busy parents, seniors with mobility issues, working professionals, health-conscious shoppers, first-timers, and college students lacking transportation.
Pain Points

Instacart's absence of direct price comparisons with other vendors leads to limited transparency, potentially causing users to miss savings, struggle with budgeting, and feel uncertain about its overall value.
Goal

Optimize user flow and UI for a seamless, user-friendly experience, ensuring intuitiveness, and boosting overall efficiency.
